Two centres, an emergency fleet on land and at sea, and nine departments, all run as a non-profit

  • Protect endangered species

Rescue, treat and release injured wildlife, above all the green and hawksbill sea turtles of the Red Sea.

  • Restore the reefs

Monitor and help restore coral reef habitats in the Gulf of Aqaba, together with the competent authorities and scientific bodies.

  • Respond fast

Run a rapid-response and environmental emergency network, on land and at sea, covering the whole Gulf of Aqaba sector.

  • Work with the tribes

Bring the local Bedouin communities into environmental guarding and sustainable ecotourism, as rangers and partners.

Two bases, one coastline

Two sites are planned under a non-profit environmental usufruct, built from light, eco-friendly materials that suit Sinai, running entirely on solar power and without harming any reef or shoreline.

Nuweiba, the northern emergency station

  • A secured, easy-to-reach coastal site for the Nuweiba to Taba sector
  • Temporary quarantine and first-stage rehabilitation for marine and land animals
  • Wildlife clinic and quarantine enclosures
  • Shelters and the base for the rapid field-ambulance fleet

Dahab, the main hub and research centre

  • About 300 to 500 m² directly on the shore
  • Isolated intensive care tanks for sea turtles and injured marine animals, with biological filtration
  • Environmental monitoring lab and operations room
  • Home of the national database, in cooperation with TurtleWatch Egypt

The foundation is under establishment. Licences and memoranda of understanding with the Ministry of Environment and the South Sinai Protectorates sector are in progress. The facilities described on this site are the planned set-up.

Partners who join now help shape the first sea turtle rehabilitation centre in Egypt from the start.
