Help build Egypt's first sea turtle rehabilitation centre
Turbeings is non-profit. Everything it builds is funded by grants, sponsors and the community, and there is a place for every kind of support.

What puts them in danger

- Plastic
- Bags and fragments look like food. Once swallowed, they block the gut.
- Fishing gear
- Hooks, lines and abandoned nets cause deep wounds and drowning.
- Boat strikes
- Turtles come up to breathe and are hit by hulls and propellers.
- Disturbed beaches
- Lights, building work and traffic on the shore disrupt nesting.
What your support pays for
This is the real list for the two centres. We do not publish amounts yet: ask us what is needed most right now.
Setting up the centres
- Intensive care tanks, quarantine station, lab and operations room
- Solar power plants and lithium storage
- Two refurbished, fully equipped 4x4 rescue vehicles
- Fast rescue boat (RIB) with engine and safe lifting gear
- Veterinary, diagnostic and water-quality equipment
Keeping them running
- Team: 2 veterinarians, 2 emergency coordinators, 4 rangers from the local tribes
- Tank, filter and solar maintenance
- Fuel for the vehicles and the boat
- Food, supplements and veterinary medicine
- Administration, emergency lines and database
You can give things as well as money
In-kind support is welcome: logistics, medical supplies and animal-care equipment. Get in touch to find out what is needed most right now.
